“The film was one of the best films I’ve ever seen that addressed domestic violence… It was incredibly powerful. Thank you so much for this significant piece of work. It has changed me forever.”

~ Gretta Gardner, JD

DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence

“It is often difficult for a community to understand how hard it can be to leave a perpetrator, which is why so much victim blaming occurs in our country. Your ability to truly help the viewer understand what signs to look for and the psychological aspects apparent in abusers was no less than brilliant. Bravo!”

~ Barbara Bossung

Center for Violence Free Relationships

“A truly amazing job very accurately and sensitively portraying such a complex issue”

~ Nicole Molinaro Karaczun

Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh

“What comes through so well is that violence against women is not an isolated crime committed here and there but deliberate and well-established conduct. I know (this film) is going to make a great difference in people’s understanding.”

~ Deborah Tucker, MPA, President

National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence

“Forcefully raw human elements take Schott’s film far beyond the run-of-the-mill, talking-heads documentary ... it presents her subject with a gloves-off conviction and honesty that are hallmarks of the best documentaries.”

~ John Fidler
